Welcome

Welcome to the Cochrane Dementia and Cognitive Improvement Group, part of Cochrane’s Mental Health and Neuroscience Network.

Our aim is to provide the highest quality evidence about the care and medical treatment of people with dementia, delirium and other cognitive disorders, and about the diagnosis and prevention of these disorders. We do this by producing systematic reviews addressing questions which are important to patients, their families, and healthcare professionals from all disciplines. You can read more about our scope and our work here.

We welcome contact from anyone who would like to help us to identify important questions, produce or publicise our reviews, or just generally comment on our work.

December 2020 News!

Our Cochrane Dementia Group fielded a team for the Dementia Research Noel-it-All Challenge. In a University Challenge style quiz, teams of dementia researchers from across the world were tested on their general and dementia knowledge by quiz master Adam Smith (@betterresearch). Our team made it to the finals, seeing off stiff competition from Harvard, The Karolinska Institute, University College London and others. In a very close final, we were beaten by the mighty University of Glasgow. Most importantly the event raised lots of money for Dementia Research. You can find out more and donate here.

And you can watch the action in the Chatathon heats,  Chatathon Semi-finals and the Chatathon finals.
